Human topic - data collection ideas?

Hi everyone, I am struggling a bit with the planning for next years controlled assessment. My school have always done the tourism question, but for 2016 it specifies a national park or coastal resort. I am teaching at a school in Doha, Qatar so it does not suit the location!I was looking at the other human topics and wondering which one would be best, but I am struggling to think of suitable data collection methods for population or globalisation. "No, many students thought that describing the shape of the caldera was  an odd question. A circular shape, round, and oval shape and even a deformed oval appeared to be what my students put down. Just a very strange question! Matt"

"Yeah not a bad paper, not sure if the volcano resource figure 2 was very fair. Eyjafjallajkull is a composite volcano yet the picture gives no obvious conical shape of such a volcano. Many students will pick out a shield volcano such as Surtsey…"
